The Next Chapter.

Three years ago I started my university journey. If you'd told me how fast the time would go, I would consciously take in every minute and enjoy every second. I loved uni, yes it was incredibly hard and challenging at times but I couldn't fault my university one bit.

For those that aren't aware I now have a 2:1 Bsc (Hons) Adult Nursing. I actually can't explain how proud and overwhelmed I am, after completing my degree and training. I am finally a nurse! Weirdly this piece of paper feels so scary and exciting, I could never have imagined how it would feel to be so happy with my results but so terrified that I don't have the comfort blanket this is UCLan any more.

So here's to the next step in my journey. I don't doubt that it will be an emotional roller-coaster, but I do know that three years of really hard work has paid off. This time next week I will be starting my first 'real' nursing job and I feel so lucky to be able to say that. Now onto the next chapter...

  1. Well done, Katie! Hard work has paid off :) I remember meeting you for the first time at Revs de Cuba and you telling me you were studying nursing, seems like forever ago! x

  2. Well done! It's been 2 years since I graduated and it feels like it was years away. Nursing will be such an interesting and fulfilling job! x

  3. Congratulations! I've been in my first post as a qualified nurse for a year now and the time has flown by so quickly! I've continued to learn so much since qualifying and even though some days I wish I could go back to being a student, it's so amazing being able to manage your own patients!
Good luck with your new job xx
