My Own Beach Hut.

Nautical set

Heading into the summer, I'm all about seaside-nautical themes. In fact, I've recently been thinking about converting my shed into a beach hut-esque chill out area. I'm pretty far from the sea, especially since I grew up very close to the coast, so I like to bring a little of the seaside to me.

I'm hoping to transform my little shed from a dump zone to a little piece of tranquillity and I think a nautical theme would be perfect for that. I'm envisioning some big cushions to sit on and some cute scatter cushions dotted about, I love the striped design of this little number.  I'm wanting to paint the inside with blue and white stripes, which I think could be really cute.

Every beach hut needs some nautical accessories and these little bits and bobs would be perfect. I'm thinking of adding a few little shelves to keep books, shells and other decorative items. I love the rustic looks of the binoculars and storage box would be perfect for little nick-knacks.

What beach hut would be complete without a sailor? I love the striped beach shoes and the anchor watch from House of Fraser, it really brings the whole thing together.

I will certainly be keeping you up to date with my shed renovation, but until the rain stops I will keep browsing the internet!
