Summertime Scents.

I'm constantly on look for new fragrances, in fact when ever I'm in Boots I always make sure I have a quick spritz of the latest perfume. When I was asked if I'd like to review one of the Yves Rocher perfumes, I jumped at the chance to give a new scent a whirl. I was very kindly sent the So Elixir Purple* fragrance to try out.

First up, the packaging is just so pretty. The box it's self is stunning and I was reluctant to take the bottle out. I love the sleekness of the actual glass bottle and the ombre effect is pretty cool. This is whopping 50ml bottle and happens to be on sale (here) at the moment and is reduced to £34.30. That's a pretty good deal considering this is an eau de parfum rather than toilette, meaning the scent lasts all day and leaves you smelling gorgeous from day to night.

The scent is really feminine and sexy and is packed full of botanical oils. This kind of reminds me of Alien, sort of a parma-violet tone under a florally fragrance. This is a woody-musky scent that immediately adds a little sophistication to any outfit, without being too overpowering. I can see this will be a firm favourite of mine for some time.
