My skincare routine: Normal/Dry Skin.

I've been dying to upload my skincare routine for some time. I love checking out other people's skincare goodies, so I thought it was time to let you all have a nosey at my routine.

Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm* - Being obsessed with double cleansing, I've got well and truly into cleansing oils and balms over the last year. I adore the Una Brennan cleansing oil but as I was getting to the end of my bottle, I'd been itching to give something else a go. The cleansing balm, is exactly what it says on the tin - to me it's somewhere in between a cleansing oil and a solid. I think if you're a little worried about trying a cleansing oil, this would be a great alternative.

This is amazing at removing make up and this is currently my first step in my double cleanse. This smells gorgeous, is really gentle on my skin and does it's job very well. Very much a thumbs up from me.

Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Cleanser - This is something you don't really hear about the in the blogging world. If you've read my blog for a while, you'll know I love the Mega-Mushroom face mask so I needed to try out the cleanser.

I tend to use this as the second step in my double cleanse, generally on an evening. This is a really creamy cleanser, with a really natural scent. It's quite thick and soothing, and it's really great for days when my skin isn't very happy - this works wonders at calming my skin and reducing redness at the end of the day.

Jurlique Balancing Cleansing Lotion* - This again is exactly what it says on the tin - this is a really light cleansing lotion. I've just made it to the end of this bottle, which I am really sad about. This is the perfect second step in my cleansing routine on a morning. It's feels gorgeous on my skin and leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc - I've had this bottle a good 6 months and it's still going strong. I use this as my toner in the morning to give me a good boost before leaving the house. This comes in a spray can, but I like to apply it to a cotton pad and swipe across my face. I love that this is a no-frills toner, it's fab especially if you're in a rush getting ready for uni. This will certainly be part of my life for some time to come.

Clarins Exfoliating Brightening Toner - I've raved about this toner in the past and this is one of my HG products. This is a chemical exfoliator, which does wonders for removing dead skin cells and really brightening up my skin. I let this work it's magic over night and apply on an evening before my serum.

Effeclar Duo - I don't feel like this needs any introduction or description. This is amazing, it does a perfect job at reducing inflammation when I have a pimple and generally makes my skin appear clearer. I apply this twice a day, as a serum to keep my skin on it's best behaviour. Another HG product that is firmly here to stay.

REN Vita Mineral* - This moisturiser has been in m life quite a while now. My skin really likes anything from REN so this moisturiser is perfect for me. It's not too thick and not too light and perfect for my normal/dry skin type. It also seems to mattify a little so this is fab for using on a morning underneath my make up.

Balance Me Radiance Face Oil* - This stuff is simply incredible. If I had to give everything else up in my skin care routine, this would be the one thing I would keep. There is nothing I don't like about this little baby. It smells amazing, a little really, really goes a long way and my skin LOVES this stuff. I use this every evening just before bed and let my skin drink it up overnight, when I wake up my skin is bright, scars are reduced and any spots I may have have dramatically down sized. This is a MUST for all skin types.

  1. Another great moisturiser for dry skin is the Estée Lauder Hydrationist, it makes the skin so plump and supple :o) Xx

  2. Such a helpful post, I have the same skin type as you! I really struggle for moisturisers, and my eyes are definitely the driest area of my face. I'll have to try the Ren Vita Mineral one day, sounds great!

    Lovely blog :)
