I didn't buy lots of things from holiday, but as always I wanted a few souvenirs to bring home with me. I love the Turkish eyes and what they symbolise - for those that don't know the Turkish eye is used to 'keep evil spirits away' and hangs pretty much everywhere is Turkey. I have a few of the eyes from previous trips so this time I found some cute quirky items that included it in them.
We found a really gorgeous shop in Hisoranu that sold items that had been hand made in Istanbul, I could resist the two dog items. The individual dog ornament just has the saddest face it had to come home with us - that set me back a tiny 15 lira which is around £5. I adore the gorgeous plaque too - you all know my love for animals, particularly dogs and rabbits, so this of course needed to be in my life too. This cost 35 lira, which is just under £12, an amazing bargain for a handmade, unique product.
Lastly I picked up this really cute handmade rabbit magnet. I love how unique all of the magnets were as each had different markings and were different sizes. It's hand decorated too, I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into making all of these gorgeous things. This magnet was 4 lira - £1.30 absolute bargain.
