Six weeks to clear skin - hopefully.

Firstly I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that read/commented on my Acne Story post. If you missed it you can find it here. I was completely overwhelmed with how supportive people were, and how so many of you could relate to my story - it reminds you that you aren't alone and certainly reminded me how amazing the blogging community can be.

After writing that post I was contacted by a lovely lady called Jules (she has in NO way asked me to write this post, I just want to share it with you), who founded the company Works With Water. Jules asked me if I would like to try their Help:Clear Skin supplements - of course I gladly agreed as I am willing to try anything to improve my skin. I read up a little about the products before I received them basically they do a whole range of 'works with water' sachet for all kinds of things from acne to reducing blood pressure. The ingredients are all friendly and are free from Gluten, artificial ingredients/colours/flavours, vegetarian, suitable for diabetics and lactose intolerant people.

I was sent 6 weeks worth of product to be taken once a day. You literally open the sachet dissolve it in juice/water/tea/coffee/soft food and drink or eat. It literally tastes of nothing and dissolves in a few seconds so you don't even notice it's there.

I don't think you can see too well on the photo but these only contain 3 ingredients - milk protein, high extract aloe vera and oligofrutose which is a soluble fibre. The sachets contain Praventin which is a bioactive protein which claims to 'decrease blemished by 71% in a month, and by 95% in two months' according to their website.

I'm really excited to see if these work for me. To keep you updated I've taken a photo of my skin now and will take one every week or so to see how I'm coming along. My last supplement will be taken on the 13th January, I will let you know how I get on.

Apologies for the photos but I just wanted to show you my skin at the moment - sorry if there is too much cleavage going on! I'm on my 'good' week this week so this is my skin at it's best. It seem to run on a 4 weekly cycle! A lot of what you can see on my face is scarring rather than actual spots at the moment which is pretty good. And I obviously couldn't get a pic of my back on my own. Thank God I took these photos before exfoliating I currently look like a tomato. Wow my nose looks big with no make up on.. Oh and lastly - I have been out the house today I just sit in my dressing gown when I'm in cos I'm a VERY cold person!

Wish me luck!

Katie xx

  3. keeps us updated i will be needing to get this if it works

  4. I'd love to know if this works, i get it on my forehead and the side of my face. Finally been prescribed antibiotics so I'm hoping that will help. I also use Bioderma's sebum face wash, you can get it on eBay but this has helped my scaring so so so much! I can only see small indentations now after using it for about 2 months most of the scars had cleared up! Really helps with excess sebum too! I'd recommend. xx
