Can't cook, will cook.

A little different today -  a recipe! I've been experimenting with gluten free baking, the hubby makes a gorgeous flourless chocolate cake, but I saw something even more exciting. A flourless Nutella Mug Cake.

I got this recipe from here.

Ingredients - One egg,  2 tbsp of Nutella, 1 tbsp sugar,
1/4 tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp heavy cream, and a mug.

Plonk all the ingredients into the mug.

Stir like crazy. The Nutella does take a while to smooth out.

Microwave for no longer than 2 minutes. Mine took about 90 secs in an 800watt Microwave.
Be warned, this does spill over if your not careful, I found stopping and starting the cooking helped. Make sure you test your cake with a knife or cake tester to make sure it's cooked.

Tip out, and dust with icing sugar.

It is quite moist on the top, apparently this is normal. I read on the  recipe page that it can taste quite eggy if you don't put enough Nutella or sugar in. I popped heaped tbsp in, to make sure I didn't get an eggy taste.
The website recommends leaving the cake for 10 - 20 mins after cooking to let it rest.

The consistancy of the cake, is a lot like a fondant, hence the flourless texture. Nevertheless it's extremely yummy, very quick and amazing cheap and easy to do! So get cooking!
